Swami Narayanan Temple Aadi Amavasya 2026 Homams Conducted

200+ Personalized Homams Successfully Completed

The successful Aadi Amavasya observance brought together experienced Vedic priests to conduct different levels of personalized ancestral rituals based on devotees' selected ceremonies.

The 50+ Single-Priest Homams were individually performed by dedicated Vedic priests with personalized Sankalpam.

The 75+ Four-Priest Homams were performed by teams of four Vedic priests, incorporating traditional chanting, offerings and prescribed Homam procedures.

The 40+ Thila Homams were conducted with eight Vedic priests for each ceremony, following the traditional ritual procedures associated with ancestral prayers and Pitru worship.

Individual Sankalpam for Every Ceremony

Every booked ceremony was performed with an Individual Sankalpam, incorporating the relevant devotee and family details according to the ritual requirements.

This personalized approach enabled each family to have its prayers performed separately rather than being included as part of a common group ceremony.

Aadi Amavasya: Remembering and Honouring Ancestors

Aadi Amavasya, observed during the Tamil month of Aadi, holds special significance for remembering departed ancestors and expressing gratitude toward one's family lineage.

Devotees traditionally observe the occasion through Pitru prayers, offerings and Vedic rituals while praying for ancestral blessings, family peace and the well-being of present and future generations.

A Sacred Day of Remembrance

Swami Narayanan Temple extends its gratitude to all devotees and families who entrusted the temple with their Aadi Amavasya prayers on August 12, 2026.

The completion of 200+ personalized ceremonies in a single Aadi Amavasya observance reflects the temple's continuing focus on individually performed Vedic rituals, experienced priests and personalized Sankalpam.
